Wellington Girls’ has moved to WFH for at least Monday-Wednesday next week after another measles case was found. The student was at prize giving, so basically the whole school is now affected. As are family members who attended. Contract tracing is going to be a bit of a trick.

One thing that may get missed from today. Erica Stanford admitted in response to a question in parliament that she knew the teachers pay equity claim would be affected by the move from 60% to 70% because she knew the ratio for those teachers.

Mum had surgery at NSH today. It's all gone well & she's home now - being looked after by my bro. MT to look after her tomorrow. I'm a bit weary as I've been on high alert all day. Bad brains are bad.

While writing today's piece, I ended up talking to someone on the phone who was like, "Librarians aren't bespeckled middled aged women with buns and cardigans anymore" and I straightened my glasses, adjusted my bun, and pulled my cardigan around me.

You know why this is a load of shit? Scrapping DEI requirements isn't about 'merit' vs 'diversity', the key PSC guidance is focused on eliminating bias from recruitment & progression so your hiring is *actually merit-based and not racist*.

These are the pay equity claims that the government wiped out in just two days to make its budget balance. It's appalling that tax breaks for tobacco companies are being funded by cutting women's pay rises and backpay.
