I know greenways are not as high a priority as getting everyone electricity but I do usually use the Richland Creek Greenway to commute… anyone know its status?

January 2025 vs. January 2026. Why are we going backwards?

I know that recovery from a storm like this is complex, but clearing this bridge is not. It was salted and plowed twice last winter.

With a little forethought, maintaining this single piece of infrastructure would be the simplest and most impactful way to preserve access for people outside cars.

Well we had a good run but are now at 13.5 hours without power. Using my porch as a fridge.

At this point we have statements from IBEW, SEIU, and the TN AFL-CIO confirming that the rumors of union avoidance in recovery efforts are FALSE.

People are justifiably pissed. Misleading them will not help us recover.

Are you without power and need a hot meal? There are places again today that are offering free meals to those without heat.

The Shell at 204 Whitebridge Rd has power. So do I — if you’re in West Nashville let me know if I could potentially help you in some way

We're in a long cold stretch of weather. Please send us supplies if you can - esp. blankets & sleeping bags. We go through so many supplies when we're out winter canvassing each night & we'll be out 7+ nights in a row! Help us take care of our neighbors outside ❤️

Nice covered bike rack outside of Olle Korean Eats and Vanderbilt Walk-In Clinic at the strip mall at 70 Whitebridge pike. There’s another bike rack at the TJs. Both are placed too close to the wall but are covered. This mall is easily accessed from the Richland Creek Greenway or Post Road.

Despite regular, high-profile pedestrian casualties in the area, the Downtown Partnership routinely advocates against these lifesaving safety improvements.
In the FY26 Downtown Public Safety Grant, "Traffic-Calming / Protective Hardware and other Traffic Control Measures. . . Traffic & Pedestrian Infrastructure + Site Utilities" are eligible,
but in the MOU NDP and Metro limits expenditure of grant funds to a specific list of uses not including them

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

About 48% reported: no Williamson has come in -- I would expect people are still waiting to vote or just finishing -- but Behn still holds a 4% lead. If she wins, this is cataclysmic.
