Absolutely correct
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

I honestly don’t get the value of this company. They hoover up energy and water. Their product constantly gets things wrong and, in extreme cases, coaches people into suicide.

And it’s all built on what seems to be malicious and vast intellectual property theft.

What does OpenAI offer the world?

This is why Chuck has NO REASON to come back to the table. Let them twist. If you're coming back with wins this big during a shutdown, the people know where their bread is buttered. Don't throw them a lifeline. These aren't tiny margin wins. They're blowouts.

Guess who didn't bother to register the URL when she did that? What do you think Hot Girls for Cuomo dot com leads to now?... 😄 Enjoy.

It's appropriate that this sentiment comes after the industry realized that they haven't done anything useful in 20 years so they descended into mass psychosis over tech that does nothing but purports to do everything

All you have to do is look at how many contracts Microsoft has with the federal government to realize that Microsoft aren’t gonna say shit. Cause Trump will just cancel billions of dollars of contracts.

All executives are cowards .
I asked Microsoft PR about this—specially the DHS using Halo IP to recruit for ICE—and the company declined to comment.

I really think somebody needs to sit the tech bros down and explain to them that they talked to the computer in Star Trek because that made for better tv than typing, not because it's actually a good UI strategy
I don't want to talk to my laptop! I like using a mouse and keypad shortcuts. I don't want anything multi-modal or AI. I want something that's basically a fancy typewriter that also let's me watch movies and play The Sims. I wish Windows would leave me the fuck alone with all this extra shit.

That said, if there is something Trump does not want America to see, that means it is probably something every American needs to see. Please share widely.
