I will not be sharing the video of a certain NWSL player on a certain conservative news network pedaling transphobia and racism for her 15 minutes of fame. We should collectively ignore her as an individual but continue to push the league to stand up for their players past, present, and future.

I understand that the NWSL is trying to defend their best player, but this framing creates and reveals the reality that Black women have to be literally the most ELITE OF THE ELITE to "earn" minimal protection, while mediocre/terrible white women enjoy the protection of systemic silence

This is a start but does not go far enough. While Banda is an amazing player, that is irrelevant to the point. All players deserve to be safe from racism and transphobia.
