I love the pictures. And Congratulations on *your* house. My grandpa’s house where my dad grew up in Weed, California at the foot of Mt Shasta feels like your photos. Attached is my grandpa and my uncle, my grandma and my sister. If you zoom in you can see she is holding a picture of the mountain.

I’m going to the funeral of my Mom’s best friend tomorrow. She was 95. And a nun. And I’m named after her. She was with our family through it all, the good, the bad and the utterly heartbreaking. She was strong, smart and kind.

Arianna Sofia Veraza and her parents were driving to Sam's Club for milk, eggs and diapers yesterday when they heard helicopters and horns blaring yesterday. They had turned around to leave when a federal agent pepper-sprayed them through a car window.

I am feeling a real crisis of faith over this. And I mean faith in humanity, not any particular religion. This is a willful decision by highest court in the land to abandon equity for large swaths of people. It’s just plain wrong.
