We’re back to heroin chic. Ultra skinny women are more numerous during a rightward shift. This is no coincidence. Skinny women aren’t as visible, due to their body functioning they are weaker (less muscle) and they can’t fight back or are generally not vocal

Chuck Schumer talking about ICE reform is so 2020. He thinks banning ICE is going too far. So liberal. So centrist.
I do think that the Democratic Party is trying to campaign to and court the centrist suburban soccer moms that are republican lite. The same people who didn’t show up for them last 🗳️

The state being captured by private sector is directly related to the rolling back of rights and social safety net. And most people bought into it as a form of “efficiencies” and cutting taxes
The X situation is an excellent example of the perils of neoliberalism. The state has become so beholden to a private service provider for public service announcements, they're resorting to equivocation on responsibility for CSAM and violent misogyny on that platform rather than risk losing it.

I am so proud of warrior Drew Dixon. L.A. Reid settled the sexual assault lawsuit she filed against him before the case officially went to trial. She deserved and still deserves so much more. All the women pushed out of the music industry and other creative industries do.

Our politicians were able to get off TikTok -- so why not from Twitter?

The platform is letting its users create non-consensual sexual deepfakes of women and kids. That can't be the price of public participation in our digital down square.

Our government MUST act.

It’s never been about individual women. It’s about the complete submission of women. That’s the control aspect of misogyny
and fascists are blood thirsty for killing women who have the nerve to disrespect and look down on them.

Really fun to be a public feminist in an era when everyone on the left is convinced that gender is a superficial divide that’s only considered unjust by privileged and narcissistic white women, while meanwhile gender anxiety and grievance is used to dismantle American democracy and the world order.

A lot of women are rightfully angry about Renee Good’s murder by ICE. There are still women who believe that female liberation will come by including men. This gives the prime opportunity for men to dominate us in our own freedom. Another example of pickme women centring men in their politics

I’m old enough to remember the late 2000s, when redpill dudes were starting to mobilize online

various feminists and queer activists and historians wrote fairly regularly about misogyny as the canary in the coal mine of fascism

I can still hear the crickets
He shot her in the head, then called her a “fucking bitch.”

That isn’t self defense, it’s an angry execution.

A concern about all this is that it's not limited to posting on X. Abusive images generated by Grok are showing up on other sites beyond X. Unless people and businesses want this to become the new norm, a shift has to happen.

People will start using social media a lot less. It's already started.
Businesses and decent people still posting on X need to understand that the purpose of X is no longer a social media company or a town square. It is an AI processing site and harassment promoting site.
Important to note that the alteration of people's photos on X is being used mostly to harass those same people. Which is terrible and having it shut down is totally okay since the owner of the site won't do it.
