We celebrated our christmas yesterday (family came over, opened gifts, and had amazing snacks made by my nephew! he's a badass cook now!!)

and then I showed some family my latest paintings, which I haven't shown you guys yet, but I painted em on cardboard!

..and my sister bought two of them !?

I decided to play a high endurance and agile guy with sword and shield. I gather from bone piles and apple trees as I travel, and trade those for coin!

last night I almost got lost in a pyramid when my last torched burned out!!

I haven't done any painting in about a week and I'm going through withdrawal! need to push some pigment around before I go insane

Also, I'm feeling a very strong craving to do indie development again, after getting super inspired by games like Warsim and Devil Spire Falls!

treated myself to some indie games in the steam sales including this crazy text-based game I've had my eye on for a while called Warsim

first thing I did as king was accidentally enact a new law (I wanted to lower it) that added a Tax Tax to everyone in the realm and they are pretty angry

Hi folks, I had a couple set-backs, and got mega depressed again

But I'm feeling better lately, climbing my way out of this latest dark valley, and I've even started cleaning and organizing my room because I know the clutter just makes me feel worse

Anyway, I'm okay, and I'm getting better ❤️

Walthall: I am trying so very hard, to be the light in your life, to be the love you need, in the fog of the night. but even when I've tried so hard, I lit the beacon too bright, and I'm terrified that maybe, the beacon baited the sharks. that know nothing but to bite. and I can't even sail out to warn you, to help defend you, in the fog of the night. did I bring the light? and then the fog? and the sharks? my ship is in need of repairs, due to my own self-neglect. So I wait in port for the words, "they made it safe", and I'm terrified to hear any other words, in this fog, in this night.

A high contrast semi-abstract / surrealist casein painting, of a narrow canyon/valley, from the point of view of being in the canyon, looking toward the horizon. There are seven bright yellow-orange flowers in the canyon, the landscape is highlighted in the same bold color, and there is a low and small crescent moon also in this color. The flowers are huge, more like bushes than typical flowers, and they have no leaves at all (as is the case with almost every flower in my paintings). The sky is dark gray and rust colored, and the darkest shadows in the painting are a very dark reddish purple.

Overall the painting is somewhat low contrast, which makes it look more faded and weathered.

There is a light gray crescent moon in the upper left of the painting. The painting is very low saturation overall, much more than perhaps any other painting I've done this year.

I sprinkled some sesame seeds on my sandwich, cause I wanted something different

that got me thinking: "there are a lot of sesame seeds in here, I could plant some and grow some sesame.. plants? trees? groves??"

I never thought about it before, but I have literally no idea what a sesame is
