2025-11-06: Air Services Limited Cessna 208 Caravan (8R-THR) mistakenly landed in a schoolyard at Karaudarnau, S Rupununi, Guyana while heading to a nearby airfield. On departure, the C208 barely cleared a 3m fence before climbing away safely.

Days after the UPS 2976 MD-11 crash, the big unanswered question for me still is, "why didn't it climb"?
UPS 2976 crash, Kentucky:
The first frames of the video show fire in the engine/pylon/wing area. Aircraft is already rotated. Judging by the length of the smoke trail, fire has already been going on a few seconds.

Investigators have recovered the black boxes from the crash of a UPS MD-11 in Louisville on Tuesday, they also confirmed that video shows the left engine detaching from the wing during takeoff.

This looks to be UPS 2976, an MD-11. @flightradar24.com public data picked up a brief altitude value of 175 feet before it dropped back to 0 and the data ends.

My thoughts are obviously with the victims, but they are also with the NTSB investigators who, tomorrow, will dig through half a mile of toxic debris to find the black boxes, all without being paid. Godspeed.

Based on satellite imagery, it appears the building that was struck was a UPS facility located at end of runway.

With take-off at night over water, a somatogravic illusion aided by lack of visual references comes to mind, as a possible explanation.
