At this point, past VR, on one engine, the aircraft could theoretically fly and climb out, if the wing is still intact, and, crucially, if wing leading edge devices are (were) functional.

UPS 2976 crash, Kentucky:
The first frames of the video show fire in the engine/pylon/wing area. Aircraft is already rotated. Judging by the length of the smoke trail, fire has already been going on a few seconds.

Stuttgart 21 (main station) construction project is coming along, but still some way to be finished. Right now, it's still, for lack of a better word, a train station wreck. Avoid, if you can.

I was married, but I'm not married anymore. Women don't like the vehicle.

So, in this case, the initiating factor was probably the bounced landing. And there may have been other factors involved that lead to that bounced landing, as well. We don't know.

At this point and incidence angle, the aircraft would most likely fly off again if it wasn't for the lift dumpers.
October 13, 2025 at 6:57 PM
... then lift dumpers auto-extend (they do that automatically after weight on wheels + throttle in idle position) - at this point, elevator command is reduced, but still nose-up...
October 13, 2025 at 6:57 PM
In this case, there's a strong nose-up command after the bounce:
Elevators are deflected almost fully up, it seems (maybe fully)...

It's cute, but I am not sure Eurodrone hasn't lost its sense of direction a little...

Hawkeye, because it's big and somewhat unusual, yet not entirely ugly.
(Or would you classify the Osprey's tilting wing as "folding" as well?)

Should have watched out for signs...

However, AOPA, how many pilots actually have the skills to determine that altitude, given that it depends also on elevation and terrain...?

@covertshores.bsky.social maybe delete this skeet to make more readers see the full thread?

From Beta Technologies' IPO filling with SEC:
"We are in the development phase of a larger aircraft initially designed to carry up to 19 passengers.", and,
"The timeline for obtaining civil certification of the larger commercial airplane has yet to be determined. "

I'd like to see a source on that because it's in contradiction with almost any other source (aviation being at around 3 to 6% of radiative forcing).. plus, electricity is easy to decarbonise, aviation not so much...

I love doing weird stuff, and sometimes I am a map geek, too.
(Bonus points if you can recognise the actual location, it's on Earth)
