I hope this is something that doesn't get lost when we talk about deportations: NO ONE should be abducted without accusation or explanation by unidentified thugs and shipped to a foreign prison indefinitely without legal representation or the chance to contact loved ones. NO ONE, innocent OR guilty.
There are very uncomfortable echoes in the discussion about Abrego Garcia of questions people ask me about how I can "feel comfortable" defending "criminals" and "professional tenants" and "welfare queens" and "scammers" and "deadbeats."

I used to be so angry at mainstream outlets for never writing the truth about Israeli war crimes...but I didn't realize how much worse it will be when they DO cover it, but nobody in a position of power is moved to stop it. Everybody knows and nobody cares.

People are not mad enough at Israel for intentionally starving Palestinians. It seems surreal to me that the international community is allowing this to happen. There are warehouses full of food and medications that other nations have sent but Israel won't allow in. We are watching a war crime live.
