They’re not the best games to ever be played but the 4-box of
- colts vs seahawks
- Green Bay vs denver
- Carolina vs NO
- lions vs rams

is pretty unimpeachable right now

From Reagan-appointed U.S. District Judge William G. Young on ICE wearing masks:

"ICE goes masked for a single reason, to terrorize Americans into quiescence… In all our history we have never tolerated an armed masked secret police."

People should be allowed to go to private schools if they want but it shouldn’t count for anything. You want to go to college, you gotta go to public school.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

They should just go ahead and make quarterbacks a flag football position. Any hit is roughing the passer.

Whose legs these are, I think know
His trunk is not still here though
He will not see me stopping here
To watch the sands whip by the stone

The works are lovely, the grandest
And from the pedestal the sand is
The only friend of Ozymandis
The only friend of Ozymandis
i never saw two trunkless legs
i never hope to see 'em
but i can tell you, anyhow,
i'd rather see than be 'em
Now Ozymandias was from the Himalayas, where a cold wind howls and blows.
Why he left his home in the peaks to roam 'round the sands, God only knows.
His statue fell down, the desert's boundless and completely bare;
Though it's still scrawled on his pedestal that "ye Mighty should despair!"

I don’t understand why government employees are not striking during the shutdown.
Good news (I guess)?

The Bureau of Labor Statistics is calling back some employees to produce the Consumer Price Index for September. That data is needed to calculate the annual cost-of-living adjustment for Social Security beneficiaries.

Finally watched 28 Years Later and one thing I really liked and respected was that the plan was so harebrained it could only have come from a 12 year-old who didn’t run it by anyone first.

Lmao the line of this UNC game is -37.5 and UNC was up 38, so Richmond took a field goal… on third down… with 6 seconds left in the game 🤔🤔🤔

My six year-old just hit me with: would you rather be flat like you could fit under a door or out of order like your head was on your butt?

If ever there was a case made for jury nullification…
The White House posted an insane video of the police arresting the sandwich guy in a safe and wealthy neighborhood.

It’s pretty wild that we have this entire class of things that requires completely useless compute and produces tokens, and another class of thing that uses tokens and needs compute for specific purposes and we don’t seem to have matched these two ideas up
"The bill sets the stage for an entire class of speculative assets that have precisely zero underlying cash flows to be integrated into the financial system. All for the purposes of satisfying an industry whose main contribution to most Americans has been scamming them."
Crytpo: There's just no legit use case for it. But, man, are these bros lobbied up.

DHS also seems to have scrubbed this from the Wayback Machine — the cache history now only goes back to April 4 and it’s all Access Denied.

I’d be interested in reading a story around a FOIA request for this @wired.com
Hmm. That's odd. The feds have restricted the page that's supposed to list the awards handed out to DHS (and Border Patrol) employees last year.
