I'm only halfway through and I've literally gasped more than I can ever recall doing while reading an interview.

I feel like this insane push for generative AI could partly be driven by these people wanting to be able to plausibly claim that any horrific evidence that comes to light is fake. They're almost there.

In the mid 90s a French friend who worked in government gave me his special pass so I could enter the Louvre from the side, even off hours, just flash it at the guard. When there was one at that door. I roamed the place alone for an hour and only saw a couple employees. I could have stolen anything.

I remember having to extract data (a lot of data) from an .eps figure by hand for my thesis by reconstructing the supermongo input that generated the point glyphs. Fun!

It's very difficult to pay attention to your reading when there are so many red flags waving in your face.

Just days after, I saw an SUV with a "Charlie Kirk Lives Matter" bumper sticker. It was bonkers.

I can't decide whether I prefer that shot, or this wider one. In this one, there is a reflection of some red tape caught in the trees on the riverbank -- that is a reminder of Tropical Storm Chantal, which inundated this area in early July, with the Eno cresting at over 25 feet.

I caught this great blue heron standing in reflection by the bank of the Eno River, at Historic Occoneechee Speedway in Hillsborough, North Carolina. #photography #birdoftheday #reflections

I just bought a 10-pound honey ham for myself because it was on sale and I'm by myself for Christmas and there are no rules.

15% of zero is still zero, at least. Nice to know they'd leave me $217.50 a week if I'm finally able to work a little.

Maybe they're starting to realize that Trump's impending fall will generate even more clicks than his rise, and we'll see more things like this drop. I do want to know how long this got sat on.

(I did have an adorable young cousin shyly, at her mother's prompting, list all of the dwarf planets I am aware of -- and pronounce them correctly -- which made up for it)
