THEY WILL NOT BREAK US

THEY CAN NOT BREAK US

THEY DIDN'T BRING ENOUGH GUYS

FOR EVERY ONE OF US THEY TAKE, ONE HUNDRED MORE TAKE TO THE STREETS

THERE WILL FOREVER BE MORE OF US THAN OF THEM

THEY STAND FOR NOTHING, WE STAND FOR EACH OTHER

THEY WILL REGRET COMING HERE

MINNEAPOLIS WILL WIN
fear.

they need to demonstrate that resistance is worse than useless, that it will be broken, and that their agents have impunity regardless of their actions.
So… what’s the strategic goal for the administration in Minnesota, exactly?

I’m not being cute, I don’t understand the theory of victory here and want someone to explain it to me.

So er, I don't want to be alarmist my Canadian friends but it's not a GREAT sign when the superpower next door starts talking about how the people of a resource rich region of yours yearn for the freedom to join them and suggesting referendums...
Bessent pushes Albertan independence from Canada: "Albertans are very independent people. There's a rumor they may have a referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada or not. People are talking. People want sovereignty. They want what the US has got."

I think it's important to boost news of the general strike in Minneapolis today and it's possible to do it without the hyperbole that nobody in the media is covering it

It may not be getting the attention it deserves! Posting links to reported stories is one way to combat that!

I hope our general strike in Minnesota shows the rest of you that big things are possible. Hundreds of local businesses—more & more each hour—are announcing that they’ll be closed on Friday to tell ICE to GTFO of here. Restaurants, cafes, bookstores, shops, theaters, museums, and the list goes on ✊🏼

I think we know that ugliness can be a contagion — it can spread through a community and shock you with its pull on people. It’s tremendous to have a reminder that care for others can be that way too. You help, your neighbors see you help, then they help, and then it just becomes What We’re Doing.

"Europe has lost its fear", argues @derbernd.bsky.social for Die Zeit.

That is simply not correct. Up until the late 1980 US had several early warning radar facilities and about 10.000 troops stationed in Greenland. The radar system became obsolete and was abandoned over night on US orders.

Quite frankly it should be all of Europe.

And Europe and S. America should be boycotting the World Cup. Is soccer really more important than the rising fascism, hatred, racism and police brutality happening in the US. Not to mention the constant threat of invading allies.

His concerns were rejected by Canadian voters at the time, and his political career never recovered.
Turner might be the most vindicated Canadian PM of all time.
