I am fascinated by the cultural divide once again. It appears that a lot of "gen AI" discourse in Japan compares modern-day LLM output users to 2000s-era flashcart users and/or manga pirates, whereas my local impression is that these two groups are pretty strongly opposed to each other in the West.

I've been working on the Super Game Boy features for the Petal Crash Game Boy Color port, where you'll get a versus mode with two players on the same screen. I added all of the cursor animations over the past few days, and it's really cool seeing all of this polish!

I'm not sure what people are expecting Discord to do with regards to age verification. The only thing they can do is limit it to countries where using one is now a legal requirement, right? Even Newgrounds was unable to make it work and reluctantly adopted a third-party verifier for new users.

I just helped my father-in-law set up TurboTax. It didn't just pester him multiple times to use the online version rather than the desktop app he had already paid for, it FORCED him to complete a mandatory survey to explain why he didn't want to use the web version before he could continue. Filth.
a society that permits tech, ads and services to constantly pester you with "remind me later" instead of letting you say "no" is extremely coercive and creepy. at my last job we were only allowed to mark clients as do not contact if they explicitly stated it; otherwise we called again 3mo later

There is an updated version of my infamous puzzle game 'Boppin' available, for CHEAP AS FREE on my personal website at Jenniverse.com right now.

It runs on Windows 10 or higher, and is complete with all levels and content. Play the original source of the slang term 'Yeet', today!

With the next version, you should be able to use "file" to detect WonderSwan, WonderWitch and P/ECE files.

Initial port of the Epson S1C33 binutils from 2.10.1 to 2.45.1. Passes the initial smoke tests, but needs work - in particular, fixed linker relaxation.

Is there anything more notable/interesting than github.com/xairy/raw-ga... for emulating USB devices locally?

Think loopback - I have an emulator which is supposed to provide an USB device to the host it is running on (guest->host device emulation, as opposed to host->guest device passthrough).

Some rare equipment. This is an Epson ICDmini V2. It's used for debugging S1C17 and S1C33 microcontrollers. It's still available for purchase, but because it's using a chip that's not really being sold anymore, it is very expensive and has a long lead time.
