Spent many a day in Shrewsbury.

This steep hill is familiar to those who live in the area. Commonly known as 'Traitors Gate'.

Had to use these images for #AlphabetChallenge for probably the most addictive TV programme of the year.

Today is the 100th birthday of Richard Burton!

And this house is his birthplace, in Pontrhydyfen. You'll know the viaduct behind him; he's crossing it with his father in the iconic 1950s photographs by Raymond Kleboe

Thomas Light was a conjurer who lived in the early 19th century at High Ercall. He consulted the stars, summoned spirits, and satisfied the needs of locals with both curses and cures. He was often heard wrestling with supernatural beings and even the Devil at night. 🌙

For Remembrance Sunday. This is from Kettlewell village, in Yorkshire. It is a stunning, large #stainedglass window, all the more imposing because it’s the east window in this little church, and the congregation sit facing it, all year round.
