This was one of the hardest truths to learn and accept. With my visceral hatred for hypocrisy, it took looking at the data on how much bigger polluters companies were compared to individuals to finally accept that it's ok to preach environmentalism that you can only inadequately practice.
Even in the most cynical criticisms of "virtue signaling" it's only a bad thing if hypocrisy (a personal failing) is considered so bad that it negates the value of community building, and I can't see how it possibly could.

"Phase transition approach" is a really cool attitude to adopt for problem-solving and learning because instead of getting frustrated you realise that with most things in life that require effort, it's often an "it's not done it's not done and suddenly it's all done!" kind of a deal.

According to the article, microplastics in the clouds can be a huge problem, not only because of dispersal, but because a very high altitudes they break down and contribute to greenhouse gases.
