This is what moving abroad has forced me to do - shed all the tiny little ‘conveniences’ I thought were necessities as an American. My life is honestly richer and better without most of them honestly. I have more time for Frieda, loved ones, and myself
Each month, I'll be abandoning some modern amenity in hopes of figuring out if a line exists between excessive convenience and drudgery. Social media, screens, car travel, delivery, none of it is off the table. I'm dumping modernity upside down until I can figure out which part went rotten

I might come off as an old curmudgeon about this but I’m not thrilled by the playful infantilization and objectification of trans women by parts of the community and our allies
It’s fine if you accept being a ‘doll’ or ‘pet’ as your own identity but seeing it used to describe all of us icks me out
