When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.

What is wrong with him. In an entire cadre of creeps, he just stands out somehow. I think it's because he tries to be funny.
Greg Gutfeld kept joking about the details surrounding the alleged abduction of Nancy Guthrie. He came across as a child jealous that someone else was getting attention. There's absolutely nothing funny about this horrific case.

🧵 1/3. Are you curious about anyone in your state taking donations from CORECIVIC, one of the private prison operators who is making money hand over fist with their private concentration camps? You can look up by state to see who took how much in 2022 and 2024.

These are things every employer with workers in Minnesota can do. If you are a company with employees there, I am happy to help you figure out how to enable these accommodations, and would gladly work (for free) with your legal, HR, compliance and other teams as needed to solve any objections.
If it’s helpful; I am providing my employees with:
1. Clear workplace policies and org messaging
2. Increased individual safety and security support.
3. Additional flexibility generally.
4. An intentional (paid) day each week for rest and community support work.
5. Encouraging individual check-ins.

FYI: Elon Musk committed a felony in Minnesota the day his company started disseminating child sexual abuse material. Minnesota is not the only state with this law. And I believe there is a same/similar federal law.

By the time they're done with us all our insurance will pay for is leeches.
So the feds ARE NOT considering an mRNA vaccine for the flu, which could save countless lives, but ARE backing research into whether horse dewormer can cure cancer, because the right views vaccines as elite and ivermectin as populist.

Cool.

FDA won’t review Moderna application for first mRNA-based flu vaccine
The decision, which shocked company officials, comes as the FDA says it will take a stricter approach to federal vaccine approvals.

We now have confirmation that the Social Circle warehouse cost ICE $130 million, bringing the total spent on warehouses to $714 million. ICE is also reportedly planning on buying a second warehouse in Oakwood, GA and is finalizing the sale now.

Billions more will be spent on retrofitting/staffing.

I don't understand negotiating something that's ilegal and/or unconstitutional. Republicans are asking Democrats to sanction DHS violating the law and basic human rights. The answer to that forever needs to be NO. @fetterman.senate.gov @johnfetterman.com
To my knowledge, moving prisoners around the country in an attempt to avoid habeas corpus review has been banned since at least the Habeas Corpus Act of 1679. Habeas corpus is, of course, protected in Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution.

In the UK, Peter Mandelson’s ties to Epstein are toppling top aides and threatening the UK Prime Minister's power.

Meanwhile, in the US, people with ties to Epstein (Trump, Lutnick, Bannon, Musk) are avoiding any accountability.

The contrast in accountability levels is stark.

Inside and outside the Epstein scandal there are likely a lot of buried bodies they don't want people to uncover and a lot of skeletons in a lot of closets. It's a tight little self-serving group that holds together based on their shared secrets, as Trump stupidly acknowledged in his card.
BREAKING: In April I asked why prestigious universities and law firms with billions in endowments and revenues capitulated so quickly to the demands of a felon and pedophile they would never hire.

The Epstein files just delivered an answer about Columbia University: www.nytimes.com/2026/02/10/n...

This is a Republican choice.
Jeffries: "We can either have dramatic reforms of DHS, ICE, CBP and the way in which immigration enforcement is undertaken here in the country, or Republicans are gonna make the decision to shut down FEMA, the Coast Guard, and TSA"

That was one of the few areas where he was good. Mamdani was similar on his campaign. He might not have been familiar with some cultural practice or food, but he joined in it with his standard suit, tie, and genuine smile.
A lot of people made fun of Bush dancing with the West African Dance Company—and sure, it's funny—but this was good.

Middle aged white guy unfamiliar with something culturally nonwhite recognizes it's a happy, fun celebration, and welcomes it, participating though awkward.

That was much better.

Texas and Florida are gonna be blue by November.
Yeah, man, definitely keep attacking Bad Bunny, that'll shore up the GOP's cratering numbers with young Hispanic voters.
Rep Mark Alford (R-MO) says House Rs are "investigating" Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show & talking with FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr. Alford says he didn't watch the whole thing & also doesn't know Spanish but suspects it might have been "much worse than the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction"
February 10, 2026 at 8:29 PM
And he's truly great. Set aside the Spanish if you don't understand it and can't be bothered to translate. The sound evokes a lot of things that it seems like no American under eighty wouldn't appreciate. It's great that these sounds are coming back because young people like them.
He didn't get the gig as a "diversity hire" or whatever the slur of the week is on the right.

He got it because he's massively popular and the NFL and NBC knew he would draw in a massive audience, and he did!

I'm sorry you personally do not like him but a ton of people do. Maybe if you cry more?

There are conspiracy theories that are obviously ridiculous, and then there are actual conspiracies that we see enough of to build conspiracy theories aound that may be ridiculous, but that come from a core of truth. We're in the process of trying to learn what that core of truth is.
The extent of the Epstein connections makes you forgive people for having a bit of a populist conspiratorial vibe
