Queer, trans, non-binary, etc. Our existence is not up for debate. No time for that crap anyways, too busy trying to build a better world in the face of all odds. Current project: sand in the gears of tyranny. Follow ≠ support.
More for today's flower stream:
Mid-February and everything is blooming, including a blackberry bush here and there. Happy Saturday!

This thread, as well as the linked article, comprise a good overview of the state of legal challenges to detention. Let's not lose sight of the big picture: thousands more people still in detention, who should be released.
NEW: Hundreds of judges around the country have ruled more than 4,400 times since October that President Donald Trump’s administration is detaining immigrants unlawfully, a Reuters review of court records found.

The government keeps doing it nonetheless.

Incredibly, this father was only able to get on a pastel green card thanks to a law signed by… President Trump.

A very very little known fact is that the 2020 NDAA not only had a statutory parole program for military family members, but a small amnesty for several thousand Liberians.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

It goes back much further. This is a common practice during worksite raids. This happened during a 2018 raid in Trump’s first term, and the Biden DOJ ended up settling a lawsuit about it.
