Queer, trans, non-binary, etc. Our existence is not up for debate. No time for that crap anyways, too busy trying to build a better world in the face of all odds. Current project: sand in the gears of tyranny. Follow ≠ support.

Παιδιά, η μετακόμισή μου προς το εξωτερικό όλο και πλησιάζει, και δυστυχώς η γατούλα μου δεν μπορεί να με συνοδεύει. Σπίτι εκεί δεν έχω... Οπότε, μπορεί κανείς να βοηθήσει;
Δίνω τροφή, άμμο, κρεβατάκι, παιχνιδάκια κι όλα τα σχετικά.

Thanks for reading this rant, all one of you who might have seen it. I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming of legal doomposting, the occasional shitpost, and the even more occasional cute animal pic.

And so here's a bonus cute cat pic. (For dog lovers, imagine it's a cute doggo pic, sorry I don't have any current ones of those.)
We're not just trying to stop something awful, we're trying to build something beautiful. And we can post about it all. /end

The Tennessee law doesn't say "only people with a formal diagnosis of dysphoria can get treatment", it bars HRT or surgery for gender dysphoria for everyone under age no matter what. Human bodies as art is unrelated. But sure, NYT, point the finger everywhere but the lawmakers and the bigots.

It's way way past time for a cute animal picture. So here's one. Source: me and my camera, and the cutie pie who lives with me and reluctatly poses for these shots. (She's happy to just lie around looking adorable until the camera comes out.)

I see people talking about the lead-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq and coincidentally I found this while sorting belongings into keep-toss-give-recycle piles.
I was on the scene that day as a legal observer, not visible in the photo.
"Freedom fries"? "Shock and awe"? We remember it all. Ask us!

You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

In the case of the persons alleged to be sent to South Sudan in violation of an existing court order, a hearing was held on an emergency motion for a TRO, and a new order issued ordering the government to maintain custody of the class members. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

In the meantime, in the Abrego Garcia case, the government's status update is available, and it says almost nothing, as usual. But it does contain this one curious sentence (see the screenshot). No confirmation, no nothing.

Alito's dissent is published: www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...
As he notes, "The Executive must proceed under the
terms of our order in Trump v. J. G. G". But "must proceed" and "is in fact proceeding" are two different things.
