It's truly not hard to not post unverified information that comes from unverified sources. It's so, so easy to get an unverified claim from an unverified source sent to you by someone whose youtube channel is loaded with outrage bait and go "Hm, this doesn't seem credible. I won't signal boost it."

"bluesky will suspend you for anything vaguely resembling a death threat" is maybe the single most consistent moderation policy they have I don't know why anyone is surprised by this one

yes, even if it's a reference to song lyrics
The account owner of @sarahkendzior.bsky.social was suspended for 72 hours for expressing a desire to shoot the author of an article. The post, made 11/10, stated: "I want to shoot the author of this article just to watch him die." 1/2

For any unfamiliar with the quality of journalism at Teen Vogue, it's well known for hard-hitting stories on "politically sensitive" topics including climate.

Then there's CBS: the only major network to increase climate coverage in the last few years. They just axed nearly their whole climate team.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

This week on the blog: More Peasants! This time the focus is on the work of peasant women, beginning with textile production.

Keeping a household in clothes was, it turns out, very much a full-time job.

The real amazing news here is that the company that first discovered and received approval for lenacapavir in patients with an active HIV infection and went to the expense of running massive global clinical trials for its use as PrEP is immediately licensing it for generic manufacture/distribution.

Renewables were 92% of new power added in 2024. Low carbon sources now accounts for 41% of worldwide electricity.

Though, I can’t help but look at this graph and think about how much better it would look if we weren’t retiring nuclear plants so much faster than we’re building them.

As part of El's ongoing project, she needed to cover Gaiman. By the time she reached him, we see him in a different light. This is long, detailed, and shines its own light on the writer and the work. If you like criticism and can bear to read on the topic, this feels both essential and definitive.
