In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

Like this!
a big runoff last night, in New Orleans:

Calvin Duncan was exonerated after spending *28 years* in prison; he tried to get his own case records from the New Orleans city clerk—but the office dragged its feet.

So Duncan ran to become city clerk himself, and yesterday ousted the incumbent.

‘Father’ and ‘dad’ are synonyms.

‘Figure’ and ‘bod’ are synonyms.

But, a ‘father figure’ and a ‘dad bod’ aren’t exactly the same thing…

Starbucks’ CEO makes 6,666x what the average @sbworkersunited.org barista does. It would take less than one day of sales to finalize a fair contract.

Baristas at Starbucks corporate stores nationwide are on strike to fight this corporate greed and get the fair contract they deserve.

Mobile IDs promise convenience, but before you download your state’s app, there’s a few questions worth asking yourself. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...
Should I Use My State’s Digital Driver’s License?
A mobile driver’s license (often called an mDL) is a version of your ID that you keep on your phone instead of in your pocket. In theory, it would work wherever your regular ID works—TSA, liquor

The DOJ is suing to stop California’s redistricting map. Apparently vote approved maps are a problem, but partisan gerrymanders done without public input are just democracy working as intended?

leaving in protest IS the answer. Waiting until the ballot box is not effective. The answer is to lobby for open primaries so you don't have to feel chained to one party. Especially since the Dems ignore the base and chase independants and Republicans. So become independent and get pursued.

John Fetterman cosplays as a working class politician, with his hoodies and work jackets, but in truth he has no CarHEARTt. He is just a reply guy in senator form, bucks for the sake of bucking because he thinks being iconoclastic means you are a genius out of the box thinker.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.
