Post you from a different era.

Excited to watch Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein tonight and was also reminded of the crazy fact that Pan’s Labyrinth came out almost 20 years ago. I was lucky enough to chew his ear off at a 2006 signing and he was kind enough to give me a free pass to a “Pan’s Labyrinth” screening.

Video games doing what they can to scratch the nostalgia itch for whatever (I have no desire to shoot at strangers in Fortnite, just wanna play with these old toys).

Our elites may be the most pathetic class of quislings in a century but normal people all over the country are looking fascism square in the face and saying 'fuck no'

So embittered and cynical about politics, but I have never seen in my 40+ years a speech by an elected official like Mamdani’s, so clearly, unapologetically making a stand for all of who and what makes us great, acknowledging Americans who have been vilified & abandoned by fascism or appeasement.

So dang proud of y’all, NY 🫡❤️
HUGE THING:

100,000 people volunteered for Mamdani. 1000s volunteering for the FIRST TIME. And they just won BIG.

So that's a massive army of progressives HUNGRY to keep on winning.

That's worth more than all the billionaires' money.

We're going to keep working.

And we're going to keep winning.

Mesmerized by the iconic Werner Herzog speaking about his new book “The Future of Truth” w/ Larry Wilmore. Werner has a reputation for being dour/dark, but I was pleasantly surprised to leave the theater galvanized by his optimism and humor.

October daily freak roundup 1/2: This exercise was an attempt to rediscover the joy of drawing, but it still mostly feels like “work” (with a few exceptions) and I seem to be giving less of a fuck while the world is on fire. (Continued in next post…)
