Most inking I've done in a long time. Didn't mean to do so much but, the mark-making was SO fun!

Wasn't able to take much in the way of their technique but, thank you to the inestimable @sekihang.bsky.social for the inspiration!

Your art has pushed me to improve.

they should make a horror movie where a guy accidentally gets into a machine with a fly, and the movie follows the fly as he slowly becomes human and is forced by the hand of capital to get a job, crying when he can't remember the last time he rubbed his hands together while standing on a windowsill

NOBODY KNOWS HOW YOU VOTE
put on jeans and a shirt with no logo and stand in line, everyone will think you are voting the same way they are

I am begging y’all not to attribute supernatural powers to vests you can buy on Amazon. just go vote
“Two or three ICE agents outside a polling place would be enough to make a substantial portion of the population stay home” you mean yourself. You’re talking about yourself.

AI output is the equivalent of the "participation trophies" folks were so incensed about years ago.

They just want praise without the work

I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.

This is your occasional reminder that Rose O'Neill, creator of the Kewpies, first published female cartoonist in the United States, and among the first cartoonists to build a merchandising empire on their work, turned out some absolutely baller, romantic-feeling size-difference monster art.

"Superman and the Mole Men" 1951.
Not "versus" the Mole Men.

The movie is Superman, protecting the Mole People when drilling breached their home.
Hearing their side and keeping them from harm from angry, scared townspeople with guns.

Tell me again that Superman was never woke. 1951. Yeah.

I keep getting these "here's how locals speak Japanese" posts on IG.

Look, I don't care if I visit Japan talking like the Japanese equivalent of a Bronte character as long as I'm understood and can understand.

Slang comes later. Why this emphasis on "speak like a local" right away?

Sitting in my local coffee shop an hour after meeting with my HS art teaching mentors solidifying my schedule starting next week.

My brain is so locked up with fear, I can barely sketch.

Nice things @ the bookstore 2)

Sold a copy of "The Long Game" to a young man who could have literally stepped from the cover of such a novel.

Tall, handsome, articulate, friendly, outgoing and funny.

Even as a cis/het old, it is so nice to see kids like that unabashedly buying such books

This year I've found a host of middle school girls routinely complimenting my nails

One adorb girl came to the counter "I have a question. But first, I love your nails!"

Ive been getting less lazy with them but if I'm gonna teach art, I've got to step up my game...

The IAMAG Tools Kickstarter has officially launched: https://itsartm.ag/ks-iamagtools

We realized the most dangerous part of being an artist today isn't creating the work, it's sharing it.

I am good at encouraging other artists because I want to see people happy and I want to see more art.

I am good at being open to learning new things and making mistakes.

I am a good at making illustrations of silly and cute beasties.
Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at.

No self deprecation, just what you think you're the strongest at

Is anyone brave eniough? 👀
