I went to Owndays to get my glasses replaced today because one arm has been held together with E6000 glue for about six months and the other arm gave out a week ago. The staff were equal parts fascinated and horrified by my "repair job", they asked lots of questions 😂

Gosh, I'm really glad I called in sick to work today. I caught up on a bunch of sleep, did some laundry, got my glasses replaced, and did some resin tinkering. I'm feeling much less ack overwhelm about the prospect of work tomorrow now.

The government says the people being deported are violent criminals, and they treat them inhumanely. But mostly they are subjecting ordinary people to extraordinary punishments.
He was then flown to the Ice facility in El Paso, Texas. He said he has been locked in the same large, cold and damp room for 4½ months with more than 70 men. He said detainees are constantly hungry because meals served at tables in the centre of the room offer only child-sized portions. Fights often break out over food, “even over those little child-sized juice containers”. Toilet areas are “filthy”. He said there is little to do but lie on a bed all day. Most detainees do not speak any English. He said he has been allowed outside for air and exercise fewer than a dozen times in nearly five months. The atmosphere is full of “anxiety and depression”, he said.

I've been working full time hours for about a month now, and I'm so so tired but bloody hell the money helps. My budget has been so tight for so long I'd pretty much forgotten the joy of being able to just replace something right away if it breaks.

I was so deeply tired this morning I called in sick to work with the plan to sleep until I felt better. However, then I remembered all the things I need to do in business hours that I've been putting off, and the temptation is real to try and jam as many of them into today as possible. Not restful!

ACAB includes the guy who invented the Fleshlight
The Fleshlight was designed by Steve Shubin, whose 1997 patent filing for a "device for discreet sperm collection" was- granted in July 1998. Shubin was a linebacker on his college football team, then went to the police academy and worked on the SWAT team in Los Angeles County for about Six years. "I've killed people before. I've done everything. I have choked hundreds of people unconscious" he said, calling the police force his favorite job. Dissatisfied with the pay, he then ran his own power washing company in Los Angeles. In 1995, he filed a patent for a sex doll torso and eventually pivoted to the Fleshlight.
