Hi.

I’ve been editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue for the last 4.5 years — a dream job, one I never thought a Brown girl from small town Louisiana might hold.

I am so incredibly proud of the work we’ve done and what we accomplished. Our journalism has won major awards. (cont’d)

So moved and enraged by the replies to this and was thinking... maybe we should collect them and send them to Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Senate cowards.

Form here, won't collect emails unless you provide them.

I've been reposting everyone replying to this post with their own ACA (and sometimes employer!) price hikes. Feel free to add yours. There is some comfort in knowing you aren't alone and knowing we'll all be voting on this issue in a year.

Chuck Schumer should be chucked out. #chuckchuck
My ACA current plan is going from $385/mo to $821/mo.

Americans are paying the price of Johnson's failed leadership — 800,000 people remain unrepresented in the House.

Mr. Speaker, do your job.

Swear in duly elected Adelita Grijalva and call House Republicans back to Washington.

reminder David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel both went on the record to Politico to say they were fine with this, either knowing the result would be mass death of children or being too dumb to know. Decide for yourself what’s worse!

The Serbian Parliament approved a new law Friday to tear down an architectural landmark that NATO bombed in 1999, clearing the way for President Trump’s family to replace it with a luxury hotel.
Serbian Lawmakers Approve Luxury Trump Hotel on Historic Bombing Site
Despite a fraud investigation into officials who endorsed the project, Parliament used an extraordinary provision in the Constitution to push the plans through.

A busy first day as your Mayor-elect: early morning interviews, transition announcements and meetings. More to say on all of it tomorrow.

But a highlight was lunch with my Congresswoman @aoc.bsky.social at Laliguras Bistro in Jackson Heights.

What's happening in TX-18 is more obscene than not seating Grijalva during pro formas. Turner died in March. Abbott delayed the special election until yesterday, and now it goes to a runoff early *next year.*

Congress can and should require special elections to be held within 90 days of a vacancy.

Any deal to reopen the government without addressing the health care crisis which Republicans have created is not a deal; it is capitulation.

This is who would be on the chopping block:
Protecting the heartbeat of America means protecting healthcare for each family – deserving of investment, not indifference.

Trump did on 60 Minutes what he does every time. He spews a blizzard of lies, exaggerations and assorted other falsehoods, and if (as usual) the reporter isn’t equipped or doesn’t bother to push back, he keeps going.
