So would my brother. My parents declared bankruptcy when we were young due to his medical bills (with insurance). He could have never gotten his own insurance prior to the ACA. His body would shut down pretty quickly without his daily medications.
I would literally be dead without the ACA. Many people don't understand. I just wouldn't have been able to get insurance with pre-existing conditions. Being officially diagnosed w/ something was misery sentence, bc once diagnosed, it wasn't going to be covered in the future

The thing about ACA is that if an American describes how it works to someone from literally anywhere else, the other person will be utterly horrified at its deliberate cruelty.

The way the horror of pre-ACA healthcare sounds to an American, is basically how ACA sounds to everyone else on earth.

1. A vote will do nothing. This is the end of the ACA.
2. A vote in December does not allow people to plan their healthcare coverage or, more likely, lack thereof.
3. Vote them all out as soon as possible.

10 finished his fall ⚽ season today with a 6-1-1 record, 2nd in their league bracket. More importantly, he only gave up 10 goals, the fewest in the league, and had 5 clean sheets. He's a keeper! (Pun absolutely intended) 🤩

I have a f*ing doctorate in epidemiology and I’m still so confused about how to pick a health insurance plan. Open enrollment should not be this hard!

Being on service means I don't have to drive 1+ hour for the early soccer game in the rain, but can instead sip my chai in a quiet house while baking French toast for my team. ☕

OR, just hear me out, the government could keep the money and give the people healthcare, cutting out the big, bag insurance companies altogether. We could call it Trumpcaid or Donicare.
This is, unsurprisingly, nonsensical. Is he suggesting eliminating health insurance and giving people a few thousand dollars instead? And then when they get a cancer diagnosis they just go bankrupt?

He is so unserious. That's why we are shut down and Americans know it.

Today's verdict bread an American hero. I bet olive his friends can't wait to ketchup.
The jurors, starting to deliberate: "This case is a real pickle. Lettuce decide whose arguments cut the mustard."
“This case, ladies and gentleman of the jury, is about a sandwich.”

Closing arguments from the defense in the DC sandwich guy case are now underway.

13: Hey, when my [cheap, not smart] clock reset for DST, the minutes were corrected, too. It's no longer behind.

Me: When it reset?

Him: Yeah, you know, it connects to the Internet a couple times a year...

Me: Or...

Him: 😐

Me: 😐

Him: Thanks mom

Many of my patients rely on SNAP, and they will go hungry if it isn't funded. So I just made a recurring donation to @mdfoodbank.bsky.social because my job is to help children, and right now they need help getting food to eat.
