ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Alberto Castañeda Mondragón says his memory was so jumbled after a beating by immigration officers that he initially could not remember he had a daughter and still struggles to recall treasured moments like the night he taught her to dance. But the violence he endured last month in Minnesota while being detained is seared into his battered brain. He remembers Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents pulling him from a friend’s car on Jan. 8 outside a St. Paul shopping center and throwing him to the ground, handcuffing him, then punching him and striking his head with a steel baton. He remembers being dragged into an SUV and taken to a detention facility, where he said he was beaten again. He also remembers the emergency room and the intense pain from eight skull fractures and five life-threatening brain hemorrhages.

One thing I realized is the timing of the pol board being opened after the Epstein meeting is that it occurred one month into the occupy wall street protests that 4chan played a role in promoting and organizing.

It's like the oligarch class wanted to takeover that ability to serve their interests.

The Epstein 4chan /pol connection is breaking my brain. Couple that with claims that Ghislaine Maxwell was a power mod on reddit and it just seems like the entirety of the 2010s internet culture was influenced by Epstein and his associates.

It's also highly misleading because most of those deportations were people from Mexico turned around at the border so deportation entailed just releasing them at a checkpoint.

The pattern of migration has changed. It's more from the rest of the world which is logistically difficult for deportation.

This was an invented moral panic. The NYT and Fox News ran more stories about trans people than the Advocate, an explicitly LGBTQ publication. It was the exact same story in the UK. The media fanned the flames of a moral panic.

Kansas just passed a monstrous bill enabling criminal penalties and vigilante lawsuits for trans people using the bathroom according to their gender identity and requires them to surrender their current drivers licenses and birth certificates if it does not match their sex assigned at birth.

It is good practice to allow enough Rexibility in the dress code to accommodate the process of transition from one sex to the other. Good practice example: M was working as a sales assistant when she began her transition to female. Her employer discussed the possibility of temporary redeployment out of the public gaze, but M preferred to remain with her team. The company dress code was therefore relaxed along similar lines as for Muslim women and other groups, giving M flexibility over hair length and style, jewellery and makeup, prior to the point at which she felt comfortable in a skirt rather than trousers and without reference to any specific point of change of social gen-der. For a period some customers perceived her as female and others as male, but M felt happy to accept this, and indeed used the perceptions of customers as an indicator of when to begin presenting as unequivocally female. Section. Use of Single Sex Facilities The employer and employee should agree the point at which the use of facilities such as changing rooms and toilets should change from one sex to the other. An appropriate marker for using the facilities of the employee's "new" sex may, for example, be the point at which the individual begins to present permanently in the sex to which they identify. It is not acceptable to insist for the long term on a transsexual employee using separate facilities, for example a disabled toilet. Transsexual employees are entitled to expect support from their employer including any necessary discussions and explanations with other members of the workforce or members of the public. It claims James supports medical transition for minors and took legal action to protect PGM providers, including arguing that doctors who refuse to offer PGM could be liable for discrimination. Goldis writes that she worked as an attorney in the NYAG consumer fraud bureau, did not work on PGM matters, but publicly raised concerns that PGM providers may be engaging in consumer fraud. She says officials treated her poorly and that the general counsel objected to a line in her blog referencing the Supreme Court case U.S. v. Skrmetti, saying it contradicted James’s legal position.
