I won't be done in 2026 but I'm revising my memoir on trying to connect with my parents when I'm not fluent in their Chinese languages & they don't speak English, so trying to connect instead w/ my history thru my relative Vincent Chin whose 1982 Detroit murder spawned an Asian American movement. ✏️📝
Hey Writers!

What project are you finishing in 2026?

I'll start.

I'm good at making grandiose plans that fall apart under the weight of my own disappointment BUT me and @katemaru.bsky.social are working on a book together and we will finish it in 2026!

Remember how during the pandemic masking eliminated an entire flu strain, well guess what ? Large health systems including mine are back to recommending masking for visitors + healthcare personnel in hospitals and clinics due to the very high levels of flu we are seeing currently & because it works!

Newly unsealed docs show DOJ moved to prosecute Kilmar Abrego Garcia for smuggling only after it became clear Trump might not be able to deport him. Sure looks driven by a desire to punish him for fighting back against Trump/Miller lawlessness. Trump had to be right.

this seems specifically designed to break mail-in voting (where deadlines are defined by postmark)
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has adopted a final rule (FR Doc.

Not just the rich and that's also something to sit with.
COVID really opened my eyes.

We had two paths ahead of us, and as soon as we took a single step towards THINKING about an equitable world, the rich put their full force into stopping it.

They loath humanity.

Bernie Sanders: "We need to be thinking seriously about a moratorium on data centers. You gotta slow this process down. It's not good enough for the oligarchs to tell us 'you adapt.' Are they gonna guarantee healthcare to all people? What are they gonna do when there are no jobs? Make housing free?"

Finished my read-through of this 2.5 draft. A lot of work to be done and a lot of scenes and snippets to be rewritten entirely, but I feel a path forward with this memoir manuscript.

Man though does IVF and infertility after loss just suck all the creative life out of you though.

Wash Post conveniently doesn't mention that most of the spending is from the TOP 10%, many Americans don't own stocks, the growth in AI investments benefit billionaires, the Trump Admin is withholding economic data, & most people are negative on the economy.

The U.S. economy experienced steady growth in 2025, despite concerns over inflation and the job market, with artificial intelligence playing a significant role in driving growth.

He let loose almost 200 unhinged posts on Christmas Day.

You’d think someone would have wrestled his phone away after 20, 40 or even a hundred posts.

They know he’s too far gone.

They also know he won’t escape the Epstein fallout.

They’re letting him make his case for the 25th amendment.

Every damn day. It’s exhausting.
NYT provides no evidence here, probably because the claim is flatly untrue. See eg recent Pew data, or many posts on the subject from @gelliottmorris.com this year

2025 has been a crappy year, going thru #infertility after loss. Though we will keep trying, I'm grappling with the possibility of not having a biological kid. For those who tried and didn't get to, can you tell me how your life has been afterwards? Your stories after trying would be helpful 🙏🏻

The Atlantic, the NYT, the Post, the Free Press, Persuasion ... god, so many others ... they did it. They participated in the destruction of norms against bigotry & now bigotry is running rampant, out in the open, at the highest levels.

Great work everyone.

Note: Mamdani leads by double-digit among Black and Hispanic voters, and by 48 percentage points among Asian respondents. White respondents go 39/37 for Cuomo.
New Quinnipiac poll of New York City:

Mamdani 46%
Cuomo 33%
Sliwa 15%

(A month ago, it was Mamdani 45%, Cuomo 23%, Sliwa 15%, Adams 12%.)

One obstacle to Cuomo rising much higher: Mamdani's favorability rating is 43/35, but Cuomo's is 37/52.

I love people's creativity and the various ways they have found to support each other. I've seen several examples of people doing this in Chicago. If you know a local vendor, can you do the same for them? Sell their goods so they won't be vulnerable to ICE?

The worst part about the AI bubble popping is how many average people will be affected by the economic fallout. People will lose their job, kids will go hungry, and families will lose their homes. Yet these billionaire bastards won't feel a thing other than a decline in their net worth.
One of the crazy things about the AI bubble bursting is that consumer sentiment toward AI has always leaned skeptical to outright negative but it’s an industry propped up by pure billionaire greed, sycophancy, and childish fantasy

Nobody cares about the victims in the Dallas ICE shooting apparently. The first I've heard about one of them was on CNN today. He's fighting for his life in the hospital --- he was brought to the US when he was 13. He's 33 now. No criminal record.

I just don't know what to say anymore.
