I would absolutely never say anything abusive about city staff. I do wonder about some recommendations though. Was there no one able to say “proposing to send cyclists down Bronson isn’t going to go over well. This needs to be rethought before it goes public”? Bronson is legitimately terrifying

It’s almost as if it’s a mistake for unions to play along with reactionary politicians who promise to create jobs. Teamsters should be ashamed

Show solidarity with @wlufa.bsky.social, seeking a remedy for wages lost under Bill 124. Bill 124 was ruled unconstitutional last year in Ontario. It stripped Contract Faculty and many others of their bargaining rights. Employers must bargain in good faith. @ocufa.bsky.social @caut.bsky.social

This is why Canada’s response won’t be targeted at red states only. Apparently some Democrats fail to grasp the urgency of the situation. Perhaps they will understand better if they sit in the dark for a bit.

Given your understanding of the need to be conscious of the businesses we support, it is very disappointing that you voted to have the city stay on Twitter. That platform is manipulating elections with disinformation and fostering extremism. The City of Ottawa should not be using it.

Good for Costco! It needs to settle fairly with the Teamsters and solidify its position as a responsible employer. Aside from being the right thing to do of course, fairness to workers is pretty much its brand now. If we must do capitalism, visible fairness to all workers is good business
