If you use it as a dialogic thinking space where you externalities thought and use it to hold, reshape, question, extent, perturb your thinking. Just like a good teacher or mentor could, except you need to set and guide the interaction style.

It's called having a beta reader and talking to people.
Not engaging with people and using your own mind to produce and edit something is counter-intuitive to cognition.

Have you ever tried writing your own thoughts down and then reading them back and editing and rereading and then thinking about them more? Now we can do so with tool assistance. Consider Plato and Socrates, when we explore ideas in dialog, it can genuinely help explore and refine our cognition.
