New Year’s Day vibe.

It’s New Year’s Day morning, which means it’s time to watch the annual New Year’s Day concert live from Vienna in our constantly almost finished house….. got to get those wires sorted.

First world problems.

Ronan Keating singing George Michael’s Faith is, quite frankly, one of the worst things I have ever heard on New Year’s Eve.

Things can hopefully only get better in 2026.

The New Year Honours list is its usual mix of people who thoroughly deserve their gongs and others, like politicians, who appear to get rewarded for just doing their jobs.

Techbro Sociopath Daily News….
In case you needed one more reason not to use AI …

The CEO of ChatGPT is blaming a teen’s suicide on his failure to follow the terms of service:

Adam Raine, 16, told ChatGPT he was suicidal and the AI bot told him his feelings were valid and even provided suggestions and detailed instructions.
OpenAI says teen's 'misuse' of ChatGPT is to blame for his suicide, because he broke the TOU: 'Users must comply with OpenAI's Usage Policies, which prohibit the use of ChatGPT for suicide or self-har...
The lawyer presenting Adam Raine's family calls the response "disturbing" and I have to agree.

Delighted that we’ve won a cricket match in Australia for the first time in 15 years.

Would be nice if we could do it when it actually matters.

Sociopathic tech boy vibes.
The comments on this are all about how sweet it is and I feel insane. Using AI to make fake memories of your grandma with dementia and telling her they happened and then filming her reaction

Merry Christmas.

He isn't "losing" this money. This is called "paying tax like a responsible citizen and not hiding your money offshore" and we need to start recognising and applauding it.

I’m glad to see this. I’ve always liked Reginald D Hunter and found the accusations at odds with everything I knew about him. I hope those who tried so hard to cancel him take a long hard look in the mirror.
The judge throws out the CAA's private and vexatious case against Reginald D Hunter. Let's hope the Charity Commission takes overdue action against them and removes their charitable status.

Christmas is a tough time for many, especially those who've lost children. This time of year is a sad reminder of a life that once was. If you know one, reach out & don't be afraid to say their child's name. It can make a huge difference & lift somebody at a difficult time. Lots of love to you all x

This is the most disappointing thing about the Ashes. 3000 fans flying out for the final two tests, neither of which will be competitive in any meaningful way.

The Ashes Boxing Day Test should be one of sport's great spectacles.

Such a shame.

In all the time I've been using social media I think I have complained about a brand's customer service maybe once or twice because it's such a petty thing to do most of the time.

But good god O2 have set a new standard in how to really piss off a customer today.

Utterly, utterly inept.

Raised eyebrows at the disclaimer text that always appears when the BBC features the latest batch of Epstein photos.

"There is no suggestion that appearing in the photos implies any wrongdoing, and many of those featured have denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein."

No suggestion? Really? 🤔
