They are deeply broken and unhappy people, and no amount of vandalism and ensuing chaos will fill, or distract from, the gaping void at their center. You’re actually doing much better than they are.

Matt Sitman and Sam Adler-Bell's podcast is known for its astute observations of the conservative movement, but has just as often been a meditation on the power and political potential of friendship.

Been meaning to push this one back up to the top of the timeline the last couple days.
punting on 2nd and 3 at the opponent’s 20 is something we will never ever see in football, because if a coach was trying to throw a game there are many more subtle ways of doing so. this is probably the closest thing to that we’re likely to see
Hakeem Jeffries on Mamdani: "'Globalizing the intifada' by way of example is not an acceptable phrasing. He's gonna have to clarify his position on that as he moves forward."

First thing I thought after the wins on Tuesday is that you can’t really predict what lessons they’ll take from it. Many of them probably see it as proof that the over-cautious prevarication approach worked.

I’m starting a new podcast called Game Stories where guests pick a single game that is particularly meaningfully or narratively rich in the context of their life, and we dig into it. I’d love to know what Trump would pick. Feels like an ‘86 Mets game is a real possibility.

**MUSIC SWELLS**

**Deep breath**

Night time sharpens
Heightens each sensation
Darkness wakes
And stirs imagination
Silently the senses
Abandon their defenses
Helpless to resist the notes I write
For I compose the music of the night

Actually a pretty robust sandwich culture here at Marist, owed mostly to Rossi & Sons. I took a Chicken Cutlet Milanese to the solar plexus once and had to teach my class online for six weeks.
