It's been a long time since Private Eye's satire has made me audibly wince, but this is so to the point if it were a knife people would demand it be banned.

If you wanted no leaks you should have gone into Settings -> Security -> Configure privacy & security -> Privacy options -> Other -> Configure -> Media interface and clicked “Disallow.”

The Leak setting is on by default but we understand your privacy is important so we’ve made it easy to opt out

Thoroughly deserved. He is a level above everyone else at the moment. A player for all conditions and formats.

This is such cool analysis of PIN in @haveibeenpwned.com's Pwned Passwords. Scroll through the page and watch the heat map change alongside the explanations of how people are creating (somewhat) predictable PINs: www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01...

Amazing comeback from Neil Robertson. Thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to the Masters Snooker. My son was absolutely spoiled for his first ever live snooker match!

Went to see a couple of games there last summer and I’m amazed the ground staff manage to provide playable pitches. This happened 7 times last winter!

Can completely understand Ashley Giles saying that they may have to leave and build a new ground.

I’ve forgotten which were exam texts but up to GCSE:

Loved - Arms and the Man, St Joan, Macbeth, A Man for All Seasons. The Once and Future King

Enjoyed - Of Mice and Men, Animal Farm, 1984, Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, The Go-Between.

Didn’t get on at all with The Mayor of Casterbridge.
US and UK friends, I'm curious: What books were part of your required reading for highschool literature class? Which of them do you remember loving, and which did you loathe?

England players with a lower average than Crawley against New Zealand (min 5 inns completed). Those above him include Tufnell, Leach, Finn, Anderson …

See Gus Atkinson’s hat-trick here.

Love the field setting mind games for the hat-trick ball itself!

~32,000 yrs ago a ground squirrel in Siberia stashed some fruit in a burrow, which was later buried & frozen. In the 2000s scientists unearthed the fruit & cultivated its tissue

It grew into this: a Pleistocene ancestor of the narrow-leafed campion (Silene stenophylla)

Agree with this. Would have been extremely harsh to drop Bethell. Pope, meanwhile, kept tidily and looks much more comfortable in the middle order.
New Zealand v England: Ollie Pope picked again as wicketkeeper in unchanged team
Ollie Pope will again keep wicket for England after the tourists named an unchanged team for the second Test against New Zealand in Wellington.

How many lives do New Zealand intend to let Harry Brook have?

That’s the 5th time they’ve dropped him.

Off his own bat, my 11yo decided to alphabetize our spices.

A lot of pressure to keep them ordered now, especially as they all move every time you open or close the drawer!

In the end only 32 sixes hit in the match.

Joint fifth highest. Yet just the third highest in matches between them in the last year, after a crazy 3 days last December where they hit 33 and then 34 in consecutive matches!
If the West Indies carry on at this rate then they might get close to the record of 35 sixes in a T20I.
