I think most artists hit a point where they’re like, well if I can’t be the best artist, I shall be the most ME artist.

The funny thing here is that usually there are people who really want to leave because of an election, but lack the means. In this case, these people have the means! They could go! They aren’t stuck!

They told me I was daft to build a church here but I did it anyway! It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third church. That burned down, fell over, and then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up!

Every office has an executive tier whose emails are like:

saw on news , , can we replce complianc dept with web 3

and a worker tier whose emails are like:

Dear Jim,
First of all, I *love* this idea! Unfortunately, I spoke with Legal and identified a few issues with this approach. For starters…
Well, it's a little clearer now why billionaires are so invested in technology that produces better written emails.

there is one (1) pre-modern English cathedral with actual legit foundations and it is St Alban’s

in case you’re wondering.
Ely is built on a hill of mud in a plain of mud. When they wanted to stabilise it to build bigger, they basically reinforced the hill with a sunken wicker fence made of oak trees. The attitude now is "it seems to be working, don't poke it." So far so good.

Turns out poor people spent a lot of money on tea and sugar *because they were poor* and that was their inadequate replacement for unaffordable things like cooking fuel, food with actual nutritional content, and enough calories to slave away over a loom for 12 hours.

I do like how, in the bit of Prescott's memo where he criticises the BBC for editing together different parts of Trump's speech, his own quote of "what Trump actually said" is... edited together from different parts of his speech.

I'm still confused about why people use fake nonsense when there are actual real photos you can easily find online.
This Facebook page has close to half a million followers.

If you're appalled by Watson's dreadful opinions, it's worth learning how science works so you have some idea how to tackle the injustices. Great Man Did Great Thing is a very bad model of science, but Bad Man Did Bad Thing is not an awful lot better.
