This is not a petty gripe because Kaine's Maker's Mark isn't a small thing. It is a symbol of his belief that he deserves better than the average person. And so he caved on getting healthcare subsidies to help the average person while he has government paid health care.
This is far and away my pettiest Tim Kaine gripe but the Senator’s advance staff always deliver a bottle of Maker’s Mark that is for him only to fundraising events so he doesn’t have to do toasts with the cheap beer and wine the hosts provide and that always really irked me

I had the exact same thought, but I was thrilled. I hope it made lots of people look up Debs and his accomplishments.

My cats are amazingly loyal and devoted. My neighbour says she can't believe how they respond to me and want to be near me. We are a loving family of 3 (1 human and 2 cats).
Dogs get a lot of credit for their loyalty (and I love dogs), but once you’ve earned the trust of a cat, they are extremely loyal creatures. (Two of our three cats are curled up on me)

I don’t really think the framers intended for a president to have the power to slap a tariff on products from a particular country because he didn’t like a TV commercial they ran about him, but I suppose it is presently up to the Supreme Ct to decide how far the Mad King can go.
