Fear is also a border. On #WorldRefugeeDay, our new animation explores how fear shapes the journey of those forced to flee.

Doctors Without Borders offers mental health support to those in need, even when borders close due to prejudice.

📣 Report if you stand with refugees.

Whooping cough (pertussis) is also known as “100 day cough” bc it can cause 100 days of coughing so severe that rib fractures are common. It also makes small children stop breathing without warning, often fatally.

Vaccination can prevent up to 89% of infections but requires boosting every few years
Whooping cough cases rise in Iowa.
Statewide, there were 114 cases of whooping cough from January through April this year, compared to just 14 at this same time in 2024.

How bad will it be? Catastrophic.

Proposed cuts to #NSF, #NIH, and #NASA will set the US R&D landscape back 25 yrs+, cause economic and job loss now, and undermine innovations to come.

But, this is the WH's *proposed* budget.

Speak up now before it is too late.

When you put a pediatrician in charge, it’s not just kids who benefit. It turns out that providing access to healthcare, food, housing, vaccines, early childhood programs, keeping families together and supporting science… helps everyone.

So let’s put a pediatrician in charge, @drannieandrews.com!
I'm Dr. Annie Andrews. I’m a pediatrician, not a politician. But either way I know how to handle people who are full of sh*t.

Today I am announcing my campaign for US Senate to replace Lindsey Graham. Share this if you're with me.

‘Continue to do research as long as they’re in sync with what the administration is trying to accomplish.’ Someone missed a few lessons in science class on how this works.
Linda McMahon: "Universities should continue to be able to do research as long as they're abiding by the laws and in sync, I think, with the administration and what the administration is trying to accomplish."

One time I was on a subway and a woman was crying. And then strangers sat next to her, put their arms around her and talked with her. And then other people told her that it would get better and a teen going to prom or something gave her a flower out of the bouquet he was carrying. It was beautiful.

Right now, Republicans in Congress are trying to push through a bill that would put millions of Americans at risk of losing their health care.

They want to cut federal funding for Medicaid, take away tax credits that help more people afford coverage, and raise costs for working class families.

We should be investing in rural communities and making them better places to build a life & raise a family - not shutting down rural hospitals by choking off their funding.

Hospital officials told CBS News the closure was driven by the same factors that have closed other rural hospitals: low reimbursement rates.
