I’m not surprised by the executive order grossly misnamed “Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Biased Media” but I am very saddened by it. One of the most amazing seeds ever planted in my mind was that “a book could be your passport”…

UPDATE: The Trump administration issued a proposed rule today that would rescind nearly all habitat protections for endangered species nationwide.
You can't protect animals and plants from extinction without protecting the places they live.

I just attended a conference in the US. We had one speaker detained and two others turned away at the border.
There are great conferences and science in the US, but with the way things are right now, it’s too risky to attend.
