Calling all content creators who care about transit….

Please post great content like this!

We at BART have some fun plans but you can help spread the word.
But far and away the most exciting part is the new free transfer scheme: an East Bay hiker traveling to Marin can save 40% off their fare compared to today!

I almost forgot to tag off my Clipper at Redwood City Caltrain!

I did BART+Muni+Caltrain to get from home to Redwood City for the Move Bay Area West Bay Summit.

I never waited more than 10 minutes for a train and didn’t sit in traffic.

This is how I roll. I show up for others to promote the greater transit story in the Bay Area. It isn’t just about telling BART’s story but the industry in general and its role in the Bay Area’s ability to move people and keep the economy thriving.

When I learned of this the night before their store opening. I knew exactly what needed to be done and who to call. Thank you @renzaro.com

Well, this is awkward 😐 Did you see the @Baggu “collab”?  You may have seen BART’s branding on baggu products recently but there was one big problem—we didn’t know about it.

This was a good time.

Our trip spanned three Bay Area counties and several forms of transit. We loved spending time with riders and fellow transit agencies.

We’re proud we're ending Transit Month strong and we hope to see you all again soon! 👋

Bill deadline day!!!

SB 63 (the Bay Area Transit funding bill) will need to go to the Assembly floor, Senate Transportation Committee where BART will provide lead testimony, then the Senate Floor.

California transit loan bill watch.

🚨 SB 105 🚨

Despite some misleading headlines there is now legislation that expresses everyone’s intention to work out the terms of a state loan for transit agencies such as BART.

Our goal was to host local families from the neighborhood surrounding the Concord Station. Building community though local engagement.

When I saw families arriving with kids in wagons and strollers I was overjoyed. They didn’t need a car to attend. They walked over.

What a beautiful night under the stars ✨✨ with so many local families!

Families from across the Bay came out for BART’s first 🍿 movie night ever tonight.

BART is looking for artists of all skills, styles, and mediums to sell their work at our upcoming Let’s Glow! BART Anime Festival on September 6 @ Warm Springs/South Fremont Station.

The time has arrived. @rebeccaforec.bsky.social do you remember when you tried to help me allow us to publish videos of each BART line from the train operator point of view?
We finally did it and plan to screen the video this Saturday at Concord Station.

The hustle is real.

In the next two weeks, we are hosting three press conferences and one huge weekend community event.

Transit is about building community and this level of engagement is necessary to capture attention and bring joy during uncertain times.

Embrace the fun when it is not threatening.

Brands (especially in the public sector) need to be given permission to be authentic and engaging.

Rules are important but there is a way to respond to something without immediately leading with enforcement.
I've always been a fan of BART's comms. they're friendly, open, and fun.

day and night when compared to our TTC spokesperson who seems to hate anything that is fun, and has a special kink for scolding people 💀

Something I am very proud of.
We need comms teams to be as unafraid as BART’s.

Love it.

After three years of “ugly” including a 2023 sweater with lights & a sound element, pivoting to “a BART sweater you can wear to a work meeting” was the right move.

We will run five-line service until 8pm and then three-line service after 8pm. Five-line service means all lines will be running including the Green and Red lines which provide direct service into San Francisco.

Zayn took us to Bageltopia near North Berkeley Station, Pegasus Books by Downtown Berkeley Station, and Yogurt Park near UC Berkeley campus.

Along the way Zayn dropped some great BART knowledge
