Every time I gain followers after a post I feel the need to say:
I mostly post about cats and soccer.

I really wanna go back to that and I intend to once the world finally calms down. (Yes this is a wish that at this moment even I don’t take seriously).

Until then: fuck ICE.
I tried to give genuine advice to this guy who brought his bass into the brewery tonight (already weird).
And he was a dick about it so whatever. I’ve only been playing for 23 years but what do I know I guess.

We stand with @slcp.bsky.social and support their call for @stlcitysc.com to reverse a decision that makes some identities subordinate to others.

We believe in the importance of an inclusive environment because, whether their front office likes it or not, Love Always Wins.
When people's identities are labeled “not match relevant,” we all have to speak up. We’re calling on @stlcitysc.com to do better. Stand with us. #allforcity

I have 17 days to prepare myself.

I fear this is not enough time.

This is why Minnesotans are begging folks outside the state to keep talking about us.

Please don’t let the world forget we are still in danger.
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

I want to be clear: I would be saying this even if I didn’t work at a news org.

I admit I’m personally invested, but even just as a regular citizen, local news orgs are the ones you can rely on.
There is so much going on in the cities that I have some very strong feelings about and if I said how I actually feel I’d probably be fired from my job.

So I’ll just say this: things are fucked up and y’all should support your local news orgs because they are the only ones reporting the truth.

This month (and all year long), here are some ways we can all show up for the incredible Black-owned businesses and orgs in MN and beyond.

happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.
