Interesting.. 🇹🇷 #CoP30 Chief Negotiator Fatma Varank says re. a joint #CoP31 a “consensus text” was “agreed” w/ 🇦🇺, but we later withdrew in order to host a #Pacific CoP (3min mark in the vid).

Hadn’t heard that before.. can any #climate folk confirm?

🚨 some (sadly) fake news going around that 🇺🇳 #UNGA80 has been moved to Geneva from NYC after the US refused 🇵🇸 visas.

1) No way vote would be 152-2 for/against, esp. a day before the meeting is in session (w/ leaders itineraries etc. locked in) &

2) No way* to vote without the GA being in session!

In April, the AAUP & our Harvard chapter sued the Trump admin for demanding that Harvard censor speech & restructure core operations or else face $8.7 billion in funding cuts.

We hope this decision clarifies to Harvard’s administration that bargaining w/ tyrannical authoritarians is unacceptable.
