Btw @theguardian.com article isn't fake news but moving the whole GA is being conflated with proposing a one-day conference in Geneva.

In 1988 UNGA43 started in NYC, before a vote on Dec 2 (Res.43/49) saw it moved to Geneva for two days to "consider the question of Palestine".

The vote? 154-2 ..

Increasingly looking like the hosting of 🇺🇳 #CoP31 won't be resolved in Bonn as hoped. In addition to Türkiye proposing Antalya as their host city yesterday (noting the 600,000 hotel beds in the city; pointed remark re. Adelaide's capacity), the #SB62 draft decision text placeholder has been updated:

So I've been getting embedded frames with placeholder 'lorum ipsum' text on the odd article on #TheAge when using our UniMelb @openathens.bsky.social proxy for a while now but I feel like this sort of muck about filler probably isn't doing #auspol MSM any favours for our next gen of journos? 😂

I find it curious that the LNP are running a candidate who lives in Boronia … but frankly I’m much more interested in learning more about him being the drummer for Def Repplica Australia 🥁

For those not keen on logging into your 𝕏 account through a 3rd party app to delete all your old tweets, this script on GitHub works a treat (link to reddit as it has a decent how to explainer).

#Academia friends, will update on how my @altmetric.com scores drop 😬📉

You’ll laugh but I actually googled hand sewing machine after reading this (our not so handheld one being in the shed buried in boxes of “only when really needed” stuff), and I’d be lying if I said I’m not genuinely considering an Xmas request for this fancy stapler..

Subnational #climateaction is more critical than ever now.

10 of our amazing cohort of Asian cities (from 🇹🇭 🇮🇩 🇮🇳 🇨🇳 & 🇵🇭 ) presented their city-level project proposals to a panel of climate finance experts at the 🇺🇳’s 12th World Urban Forum in Cairo over the last week.

This is the way ✊

Can't quite believe that it has been 10 years nearly to the day since hiking to Everest Base Camp with the most amazing group of people, fundraising for the Australian Youth Climate Coalition.

Photo taken days before Tony Abbott would take power & send Australia's climate policy into the dark ages.
