ok. It's time to set it free into the world, move on with my life.

The original plan was to make a proper local-first app, so you can read things offline…

I built two new tools to help coding agents demonstrate their work beyond just running automated tests: Showboat and Rodney simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/10/...
Introducing Showboat and Rodney, so agents can demo what they’ve built
A key challenge working with coding agents is having them both test what they’ve built and demonstrate that software to you, their overseer. This goes beyond automated tests—we need artifacts …

We're excited to launch our most-requested Bridgy Fed feature: being able to interact with unbridged users!

Starting today, when people interact with you on the other side of the bridge, you'll get a notification over DM along with a "respond" link, where you can like, repost, reply, or block.
Launch: Interact with Unbridged Replies & Mentions
Last year, we launched a feature for Bridgy Fed that sent a DM of an hourly digest of interactions that we couldn't bridge back to your native platform. While that gave you visibility into interaction...

“Public skeleton” sounds bad. It sounds like everyone can see all the bones in my body which means something really bad happened

yes, exactly! I agree this is the problem with Ozone, it is designed for when you already have a) an automod system for surfacing reports and b) a large team of professional moderators. I am really excited to evaluate, glue, and recommend solutions for orgs that don't have this!

Hot off the internets — there's a brand new kid on the DASL block: Web Tiles!

It's still early days, some key features are missing, and there are some rough edges, but you can publish tiles to AT and play with the idea!

seeing a lot of ✨ discourse ✨

legislation around the world has been moving towards age checks, and they're far from alone in adding these checks for certain features. It's similar to what Bluesky does where certain features require age checks.

This reminds me of note-taking setups where people used both Obsidian and Logseq on the same set of files. Interop and the "file over app" philosophy is incredible
