1/ Finally wrote up “The Story of Mendeley”! Most people know the tool, few know about its rise and fall. The Mendeley story provides important clues for how to build self-sustaining AND non-extractive knowledge commons, which is why I think it deserves more attention 🧵

We don't have grouping by week as a feature, but when we have a community-curated open collection someone could wrap it in a website which could do some of the date-based grouping? Similar to @atproto.science bsky.app/profile/atpr...
The projects list at atproto.science/projects/ is now using a @semble.so collection as data source 😎 So the page will update automatically when we add new projects to the collection, no need to edit any website html!

have been toying with terms like "foraging" in an "interconnected information environment", which definitely tracks with my own experience thus far. Will assemble these ideas into a leaflet sometime soon!
