after a fun chat with @laurenshof.online and @ronentk.me I finally made time to write up some more thoughts about interoperability in the atmosphere without needing to share lexicons!

Two Types of Interoperability Without Sharing Lexicons - Wesley's notes
Sharing lexicons is not the only way to leverage atproto’s interoperability

Some quick thoughts on bookmarking the web with @margin.at and @semble.so, what I'm confused about, and what I'd love to see. hacdias.com/2026/02/09/b...
Thoughts on Bookmarking the Web - Henrique Dias
Yesterday I shared some atmospheric thoughts. One of the ideas was seeing which services do I use now that could be replaced. One of those is bookmarking. There’s two main contenders: Margin and Sembl...

Sometimes you want to report a bug and you’re a developer. You’re 99% sure it’s a bug, but there’s no email to be found. Almost no way to reach the right people. So you need to go through the hurdle of an AI chatbot, which at some point gets a human to talk to you.

Cool to see I can now easily add tags to my bookmarks (separate from the collections business). Is it time to start using @margin.at as my main bookmarks thingy? Perchance.
The new Margin update is here! 😃

It includes:
- New UI redesign with many amazing features like mosaic layout
- Moderation (blocking/muting + self-tagging annotations/bookmarks/etc)
- Many bug fixes

We are still working on the extension, and it will be availalbe soon!

Check it out at margin.at

The browser-compat-data project (used by MDN, caniuse, and tools) now has:

20,000 commits
1,123 contributors
465 releases
19,148 data entries

That's what comprehensive web compat data looks like.

And it takes well funded teams at @openwebdocs.org and @mozilla.org plus amazing contributors.

Is there some place I can find all @popfeed.social lexicons? Can't seem to resolve any schemas.

Yesterday I imported all photo posts from my website to my PDS. I put the correct publishing date but I’ve learned since then that some App Views use the creation date instead of the publishing date for sorting. So if you’ve been spammed by my posts, I’m very sorry 😅

Het Tweede Kamer debat over de modernisatie van de naturalisatiewet is nog twee weken uitgesteld, nu naar 6 april. Ik weet dat het wss komt door alle andere formatie-gerelateerde debated die eerst nodig zijn, maar ja… Heel benieuwd.

Today’s the second round of the #Portuguese presidential elections, which will decide whether we get a right wing populist president or a left center president.

I've just added some @standard.site lexicons to my PDS with my website as a publication and the latest post as a document. It validates!

I'm just a bit on the fence on whether it is useful for a static website like mine at the moment. Are there any other examples on the wild?

Excellent read recommended from seblog.nl. The post visuals really help feeling this emotions of guilt and of wanting to be up to date the whole time, but focusing on #RSSReaders. Recommend reading.

I've finally had a few moments to put down some thoughts about #FOSDEM 2026. Just like FOSDEM itself, my thoughts are also over the place, I think that's fitting for the conference: hacdias.com/2026/02/04/f...

I’m trying to setup @germnetwork.com but it seems to force me to use an anchr:// link on my profile instead of the regular https:// link I see by some folks. Any ideas of what I’m doing wrong?

Portugal in a nutshell: the ballots for the coming presidential elections will contain 14 candidates, but only 11 are valid. So voting on the remaining 3 yields a null vote. Something something court too late something. How ridiculous is this? 🥲

The snow is still going strong and, apparently, we have the most of it in the south of the country. We still went running this morning which was surprisingly not as bad as I expected and it came with an added bonus: the snow cleaned the shoes. It's so pretty!

The past few days, we have been graced with snow. For those who’ve been reading my posts for a long time, you know that I absolutely love it. We went for a walk yesterday and today again. It’s still snowing. So pretty!
