State birds stylized into the Star Wars rebel alliance motif are a thing over on Threads. Here’s the meadowlark, state bird of Kansas, designed by Matt Shaw. These rebel birds are awesome.

Proof of life: I scored a copy of the original Silver Surfer graphic novel from 1978. Published by Marvel through Simon & Schuster's Fireside Books. This one is great with Joe Sinnott inking Kirby's pencils and Glynis Wein coloring. Happy to finally have a copy of my own. Only 1 Fireside book to go.

In a world of Punisher wannabes, we need a Silver Surfer.

Ponies was an entertaining watch and the chemistry between Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson is worth the price of admission. Adrian Lester stood out, too, and the season finale was the right kind of twisty fun.

WTF happened to the Epstein files? Full release was required December 19 by federal law. Today, 99% are still undisclosed. Initially, there were rolling releases. Now, nothing in weeks.

REMEMBER: The DOJ said the review of these documents was complete in JULY.
DOJ admits it has still not released 99% of Epstein files, violating law
The DOJ said it is still reviewing millions of Epstein files, after previously claiming it completed the review in July

Today I learned about Janet Airlines and now I’m FASCINATED by the idea. Surely there are stories involving or set around it?

Realized I've been getting too wrapped up in following the news again. Time to pull back and focus my free energy on creating something real. It's just too much again.

Four GOP Senators.

At most four Repubs in the House.

Together they could stop nearly all the mad-king's rampages. They would be known to history as Profiles in Courage. They might/would lose the next election. But people have sacrificed a lot more, for a lot less.
I can't repeat this enough.
I've said this before and I'll say it again.
It would only take a tiny handful of Republican Congress members or senators to stop the slide of America toward authoritarian fascism, but nope. They're all in.

#OneCharacterOneArtist
I got to meet John Buscema and thank him for his fantastic comics art but mostly for his Conan. There was a Mighty Marvel Fun Book where they asked artists to draw their character while blindfolded and his ‘blind’ Conan was terrific. Wish I could find it.

Happy birthday to David Bowie, who would have been 79 today. I’m glad we have his music. It’s been a comfort the last little while.

The first song of Peter Gabriel's new album/cycle is pretty great. This Dark Side mix has a really interesting array of sounds and instruments. Excellent Tony Levin bass tone near the end. Looking forward to the next ones.

Introduce yourself as what almost killed you:

Hi, I’m a massive group of pulmonary emboli gathering in both your lungs, but we like the one on the left the best. Good luck breathing.
Introduce yourself as what almost killed you:

Howdy! I’m a bank robber with a gun to the back of my head giving me short timelines to get things done or else he’ll blow my brains out.

Hey! I'm a vestigial meaty organ that was on the wrong side of my body when it went time-bomby and the doctors didn't realise.

Four seasons of investment in these characters and these stories absolutely paid off for me in this fifth season.

And so much to ponder on, to revisit and explore. Wow.

I really enjoyed the entire series. #StrangerThings
