Three students were critically shot at Evergreen High School, Colorado; suspect neutralized. Meanwhile, Trump focuses on Charlie Kirk—does anyone actually care about the kids, or is it just another tragic footnote in endless school shootings?

#Limerick There is an important consulation on Thurs 6th March in the Old Dunnes on Sarsfield St. It's about High St / Wickham St and giving the businesses & residents there a better future. They've done amazing work but need this project & the cost of not doing it could be ruinous. (Long 🧵 1/17)

In my autism report Buffy is actually mentioned as a special interest example 🤣

We shouldn't be consulted about restrictions that put people at risk.

The redesign of OCS saw the removal of safe pedestrian crossing at Bedford Row. We were told that pedestrians had the right of way here but it's too dangerous to cross now until cars are at a standstill.

Big loss to the whole Country!
Really a huge loss to the county to lose Pringle, he was one of the most progressive voices Ireland. Lord knows Donegal needs more of those.

And my last tip. Make sure your ballot has the official seal (hole puncher with notions) this is to ensure your ballot is official. Every year there a number of ballots that never get stamped by a polling clerk and are the deemed invalid. Check your ballot has this. #ge24

Hi, so I've spent the past almost-decade studying research uses of public social media data, like e.g. ML researchers using content from Twitter, Reddit, and Mastodon.

Anyway, buckle up this is about to be a VERY long thread with lots of thoughts and links to papers. 🧵

I've been able to pick out main differences in policies between the parties & get a breakdown of specific policy points.

Highly recommend cause 7 manifestos

Ruairi Fahy cuts at the government candidates, saying "people are suffering, people are dying, and they're sitting here acting like they're not in power"

I don't watch boxing, but that really should be a killer blow.

I mean, that's exactly what's happening and that's exactly what they're doing.

The Cllrs in #Limerick are just so fucking frustrating. They spent ages ripping plans for O'Connell St of any real improvements for pedestrians & now after lots of time & money they're trying to rip out the bus lane for the Xmas. Any progress is just offensive to most of them.

If an autistic person asks for clarification, they are not:
- being aggressive
- being rude
- being obtuse
- trying to annoy you
- whatever ableist slur you are throwing at them

They are :
- asking for clarification

It's not about you, don't take it personally, just explain.

So far the only manifesto I've seen that doesn't use person-first language referring to autistics & autistic services has been the Green Patty one.

@pbp.ie, Fíanna Fáil, Fine Gael & Labour all use "with autism" when referring to autistics.
