I've not really done an introduction yet, so for those who don't know me from *there*:
I'm Clear Autism, and I post about neurodiversity/neurodivergence, disability and carers rights, and related issues, in English and French (UK based but lived in France for years). Probably AuDHD but shy about it.

How many autistic kids (and adults) have been driven into meltdowns not because they did anything wrong, but because their echolalic communication needs were misunderstood? Here's to all of us trying harder and doing better. TY @jessdiaryofamom.bsky.social and crew.

They also seem to think all those unpaid hours we spend educating them because we *have to*, we're happy to volunteer, because let's face it, we have SO MUCH energy to spare!
I find myself increasingly wondering how able bodied people appear to believe that being disabled is"easy."
Getting accommodations in school, uni and/or work: easy, a breeze, even!
Getting a doctor to write you a certificate supporting your needs: EASY!
Working from home: EASY!

Disability is morally neutral. It is neither an absolution nor a condemnation. It exists amid the panoply of Nature, which includes human beings.

'Complicated' doing some heavy lifting here, and 'neurodiverse conditions' is just...embarrassing.

Exclusive: Adolf Hitler’s DNA has been sequenced by scientists

It has:
- shown he had a disorder which impacted his sexual development
- debunked rumours about his ancestry
- shown a high likelihood that he had a neurodivergent condition and/or bipolar disorder

Conservative Shadow Culture Secretary Nigel Huddleston tells GB News that the BBC should "grovel" to Trump.

They’ve been at the forefront of ‘Autism and ADHD are over diagnosed’ bs, especially ADHD.

It’s now almost impossible to get an NHS diagnosis in Scotland, most health boards have closed waiting lists. The same is now happening in England.
In the last decade, the BBC has legitimised climate change denialism, paved the way for Brexit, defended the coup that was prorogation, over-platformed Farage's Far Right projects, and is neutral on our abandonment of human rights norms.

What is this 'good' it supposedly does?

Thank you for sharing, I wrote in The Subtle Spectrum about multiple occasions of bumping into internalised ablism, it's always a very uncomfortable realisation and this one was especially so. www.thesensoryprojects.co.uk/books

Most people are incredibly unaware and uneducated about disability justice (despite multiple awareness campaigns) unless they are directly and personally affected.
Ableism just doesn't seem to be on most people's radar the way other forms of discrimination are.
It just doesn't register with them.
There can be no social justice without disability justice.
Yall real silent about disability injustices because most of you don’t see disability as a thing that can happen to you.

We are “aww those poor people”. Meanwhile disability can happen to anyone at any moment and those injustices you ignored? They become your experiences too
