The decline of right wing cultural production is just due to the fact that they don’t like culture, they like the signifiers of culture, ie “classic sculpture means white people are better.” They don’t like art at all except for this purpose. They don’t even like the nerd stuff they whine about

Since the troll column seems to have worked: The very very very very very very very obvious question is not "why hasn't the left embraced AI" but "why has the right so eagerly embraced a tech product built on theft, sold by fraud, and optimized for abuse and misinformation"

Some of my most club idols are black
mourinho's argument is that benfica definitely isn't a racist club because reasons and also vini should try being more humble, like noted limelight-shirker jose mourinho.

Imagine deploying the ‘racism is bad, sure, but that Vini guy is kind of a dick’ argument.

If this is your view you are part of the problem.

The legitimately innovative thing about AI is that it is a completely bottomless pit. It's swallowed up:

- all energy sources
- all our data
- all investment dollars
- all new jobs
- all capex
- all attention
- and now, all hardware components

with absolutely no end in sight. Nothing will satisfy.
the AI junk that nobody - including the people making it - have enough real uses or profitable demand for is screwing up all the things that have real uses and decades of profitable demand

It’s the 10th anniversary of this piece, in which I explored how a uniquely Milanese approach to marrying aesthetics and pragmatism made the city an ideal home for AS Velasca.

This was my jam before I became a data/tactics nerd.

Per the Pew Research Centre, UK is 12th most religiously diverse nation.

Downes, as well as being a racist, doesn’t understand the country he purports to want to protect (by being a racist)
Charlie Downes (Restore Britain, campaign director): "More than anything, it is Christian faith. Ancestry and it is Christian faith"

Alex Phillips: "So if you are not a Christian, you can't be British?"

CD: "Well. You are certainly less British if you are not a believer in Christian principles".
