If a business takes public money, that business should be required by law to care for public needs. No kore signs saying “no public bathroom.”

Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this.

Smashed records.

Mid-work #photography post break.

I was organizing my phone photos into albums and had forgotten about the sunrise pictures I took down in South Padre Island, TX back in September.

We were there for a wedding, and the sunrises were simply magical.

If you’re in an institution doing any kind of DEI work, the most important thing to do right now is simply call it something else. Change it to “Community Outreach” & then keep on doing the same important work. When they outlaw Community Outreach rebrand it as “Strategic Partnerships,” rinse/repeat.

If you ever find yourself losing faith in people, or wondering “do people even CARE anymore?!”, visit your local library. I say this without hyperbole, I am always struck by how much librarians care, every time I’m there.

Always helping. Always tending. Always reaching out. We owe them so much. 💙

I’m telling everyone: Do not open the door or say a word unless you’re expecting someone and know exactly who it is.

Know your rights. Pass these around…

If you’re not part of the resistance, you’re part of the problem. And stay out of the way of the people that actually care about this country and the human beings in it.

I need a sweet audiobook. Something not heavy but genuine. Something where I want to settle in with the author &/or characters. I don’t care what kind of book. For this, I’d prefer something not super raunchy, something not horrific, & something that won’t bring despair about the state of the world
